Glenn Anderson
Sgt. Glenn Joseph (Joe) Anderson, 49, formerly of Huntsville, AL; died June 6, 2007 at Ft. Gordon, GA. Sgt. Anderson graduated from Huntsville High School in 1976 and attended Auburn University. He served 11 years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He reenlisted in 2003 and entered active duty in 2005 and was assigned at Ft. Gordon. Joe was an Eagle Scout and remained active in scouting. He served several positions including Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 56 at the First Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. He was an active member of St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Church in Lawrenceville. He is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Anderson, Sister Kay Anderson and Mother-in-law Alfreda Escopete. He is survived by his wife of 21 years and their three children; father, Glendon J. Anderson and wife Noelle of Huntsville, AL; sisters Sumarie Witthuhn, Lynn Miles and her husband Richard of Guntersville, AL; Marsha Asquith and her husband Rob; brothers Scott Anderson and his wife Kristy and Michael Anderson and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 3pm at St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Church with father James Harrison officiating. Wages and Sons Funeral Home. 770-277-4550.
