10-5-09 - Some news from Gary Barr:

You guys got a bucket list? Me too. One of the things on the top of my

list is to race the Baja 1000 on my motorcycle.  At 51 their is allot of

time left but I decided that if racing the Baja was going to happen I

needed to get it done soon. Not getting any younger and all. So, this

November 20th I will leave Ensenada Mexico at 6am on my motorcycle and

hopefully finish 800 miles and 18 or so hours later back in Ensenada.  You

my all remember me from the casts I drug around the halls of Huntsvile

High thanks to my motorcycles and trees that seemed to get in the way. I

am afraid to say many years later some of us don't seem to have grown

up...or maybe thats just me.

My wife keeps asking me why and the only answer I have for her is that I

still can so why not. I just can't wait!!

Update from Lisa Grumbles:  Sandra came thru surgery fine... but there is lots of pain. She has much rehab to go thru. Shattered the femur, and had to have a rod and pins put in.

Update as of Sept 5: Sandra is getting around on crutches but it will be a while before she can put full weight on her leg. Full recovery will take at least 6 months and could be up to a year. 4-29-09 - From Jennie Floyd

I meant to send this earlier.  I finally have something that everybody can see me in, although it is adults-only (not porn, just raunchy humor).  The premiere of "Whorified! The Search for America's Next Top Whore," an Internet series spoofing "The Search for America's Top Model" is tonight, and the website will have the first episode up tomorrow.  I play "Jean," a ditzy, Midwestern housewife who "wants to get out of the house more" and "learn new things."  It's very funny but very risque - we improvised a lot but a lot of the scripted stuff is really filthy.  There will be ten episodes, running every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at our website,http://www.whorified.com.  I think you will really like it.  We hope to get a TV deal for it on Comedy Central, and of course it expect it will be on You Tube and Funny or Die and the other comedy web sites.  Please take a look!

4-28-09 - From Kathy McDonough:

Vickie (Worley) and I decided to go somewhere for a road trip this spring that we had never been.  We ended up in the very small town of Monroeville to see the live performance of To Kill A Mockingbird.  It was so cool to sit in the courthouse and be a part of the trial scene of the movie.  We felt like we had gone back in time and were actually in the deep south in 1935.   We highly recommend it for anyone who loves the movie and has the imagination to believe you are either Jem or Scout and your daddy is Atticus Finch.

4-6-09 - Susan Zook's daughter Claire, 21, is a dancer and is going on tour with Taylor Swift. Claire was in Swift's Love Story music video last fall. Susan says this is the first time a country artist has used dancers on tour. There will be 6 dancers. The tour begins April 24.

3-15-09 - Saturday night I was in Huntsville for the Gothic Cotillion. This is an event, I think started in the 80's, for 10th grade girls. I had a niece being presented. Mark Harbarger, Karl Roth and Amy Slayden had daughters that were presented. Lisa Grumbles and Linda Drummond were also there. Lisa is the current president of the Gothic Guild. The event was at the VBCC.

2-25-09 -  From Pat Hughes:

This year marks my fourth year as a cast member in productions at the Stockholm Royal Opera. I'm appearing in two of the four music dramas of Wagner's opera cycle, "The Ring of the Nibelung". The operas are "The Rhinegold" and "Siegfried".  The other two dramas are "The Valkyrie" and "Twilight of the Gods". In "The Rhinegold", I play one of the slaves in the goldmine. It's a bigger part than the rest but doesn't involve any singing. Thank the Lord! We perform this opera twice a year and it is very popular and received rave reviews. Last November, the opera cycle was televised on Swedish TV.

Pat has had an interesting acting career in commercials, videos and movies. You can see photos from some of his roles and also see photos of the opera house here.
