---------------------------------------------------------

Jimmy was affectionately known as "Beersall" back in the day.

Jimmy was a true friend and a fine person. I remember that he got his license before the rest of us and boy did he got a lot of use out of it. He drove that Chevy Vega and we cruised around Huntsville on many a night. Jimmy and I shared the love of a cold beverage and since he was older we were able to quench our thirsts and our curiosity. I will never forget the trip we took that included Mammoth Cave, a David Bowie concert, and an Alabama-LSU game on a Saturday night in Baton Rouge. We also went on a trip to the N.C. mountains that was memorable with Billy and Jimmy Holliman that included a cold plunge at Sliding Rock and a flooded tent. Jimmy I will miss you and I am praying for you and your family. - Love, Dudley Powell

Jimmy's passing saddens me.  He was a friend to me, many others, and was always an open, happy, and a fun personality. Jimmy never let a moment go by without a reason to celebrate and enjoy the moment.  I never once heard him complain about anything. I've got several memories tucked away in my aging brain i'll never forget.  I regret I didn't kept up with him after high school, so in my mind, he will always be the "High School Jimmy".  He will be missed.  Rest in Peace Jimmy - Bobby Roberts
