I though I would give an update. Kathy and I are still running our company PTS and traveling a good bit every year pedaling our communications products to the Army. We are fortunate to have been able to see much of the world as a result. A few years back we were in Australia and were fortunate to spend time with Tiger and Mel Sirote. Our daughter is married living in Nashville. She has a degree in printmaking. She has done some consulting and has taught a few classes at MTSU where she graduated. She provides graphics support for PTS. Her husband is an auditor for the state of TN. Our son Finn was accepted into the UAB Med School 3 years ago. During his first year he struggled with progressively worsening health issues including multiple hospital stays. The result, 2 weeks into his second year he had to drop out of med school. He spent the next 9 months trying to get a diagnosis. Finally he was diagnosed with Dysautonomia. Here is a link that describes his disease: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysautonomia
He suffers from almost all of the symptoms. Fortunately, last summer he had successful treatment allowed him to re-enter school as a disabled student (there is no cure). This year has been a challenge for him. He was admitted hack into the hospital over the 4th of July. Finally after having to delay taking his board exams 3 times he was able to take them 2 weeks ago (we don’t have the results yet). This week he reported to the hospital in Birmingham to begin his internship. A real blessing has been his ability to handle the schedule.
My closest thing to a hobby these days is competitive shooting. I am not very competitive but it is great fun and I can’t say enough nice things about the other shooters. One result of shooting, I have reconnected with Jim Clark from Huntsville High as a result and we have become good friends. I feel very blessed for everything God has given us. Thank you all for the
12-3-18 update
