In 1980 Marisol graduated from William and Mary and moved to Arlington near Washington DC to live with her parents. She worked in the traffic safety division of AAA. In September 1981 she married Bob Lambert, whom she met in colege and they lived in Arlington for 10 years. In 1983 Marisol quit the office life to set up a home day care, taking care of up to 5 toddlers at a time. In 1985 their daughter Aliene was born and Frederick came along in 1988. In 1991 they moved to the quieter life of Richmond.
