I entered the U. S. Civil Service in September 1987 as an Auditor with the U.S. Army Audit Agency and served in that position until selected for a Program Analyst with the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) Project Office in October 1999. I was a GS 13 with the JLENS Project Office when I took a deferred retirement after 16 years civil service in August 2003 to pursue a career as a college professor. I was a Program Analyst in Program and Acquisition Management Division of the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) Project Office since October 1999. In this position, I had responsibility for serving as JLENS ASARC Coordinator, preparing and submitting monthly newsletter, updating and submitting Smart Charts and R2/R3 forms as required, assisting senior analyst in development of the annual System Modernization plan and strategy, updating various program documents, and providing on-the-job training to junior analysts on reporting cycle and requirements. I am presently a full-time Instructor of Accounting and Computer Science at Northeast Alabama Community College. I worked as an adjunct professor of Computer Science at Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Al. from September 2001 to August 2003. Also, I was hired as an adjunct professor at Athens State University in August 2003. I am responsible for teaching various Management courses for the Athens University Center located on the Northeast Alabama Community College campus and various online courses. I am a graduate of Athens State University in Athens, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Certificate in Accounting. I am a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology, Redstone Arsenal Campus, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama with a Master of Science in Management degree awarded December 1998 and a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Computer Information Systems degree awarded in August 2003. Also, I am a graduate of the Army Management Staff College Class 98-3. I hold the following certification and accreditations within the U.S. government; Level III Certified in the area of Program Management, and Level III Accredited in the area of Financial Analyst, Accountant, and Auditor. I am presently pursuing a PhD in Instructional Leadership with a concentration in Instructional Technology at the University of Alabama and hopefully will complete the course work by Summer 07. I received numerous Army awards (performance, special act, letters of commendation, and on the spot) during his career. I have written two articles, “Samuel Davis: The Mysterious First Settler” published in the August 2000 edition of the Old Huntsville Magazine and “The Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System” published in the September-October 2001 issue of the U. S. Army AL&T Magazine. I am married with a 10 year old daughter who keeps us busy with sports. We live in Powell (a small community between Section and Rainsville). My wife and I stay busy as the owner and operators of a 270 acre cattle farm and taking our daughter to all her sports events. God has blessed us in so many ways and I give him the credit for everything in my life.

I have switched jobs after 7 years teaching at Northeast Alabama Community College. I have returned to the Federal Government by accepting a position with the Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal. Also, I received my Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership with a concentration in Instructional Technology from The University of Alabama in August 2009
2017
I retired from the Federal Government in 2014 after 20 years civil service. After that I took a job as the Division Chair of Distance Education and Instructor of Accounting, Business, and Computer Science at Central Alabama Community College.
