2006
After graduating in 1980 from Louisiana Tech Univ in Chemical Engineering, I moved to Baton Rouge and went to work for Dow Chemical. In 1983, I met and married the love of my life Sandy. We have 2 children - Tanna, 17, senior and varsity volleyball player / Adam, 12, starting 7th grade. I am still with Dow (I am one of the "gray hairs" there now). My position is a global Subject Matter Expert with flare equipment. That's a fancy way of saying that I travel all over the world (Dow is a very global company) supporting production plants and projects that involve process flares. We survived Katrina with very minimum damage, but we were an "evacuation shelter" for all of Sandy's family from New Orleans. Final thought: even though I've lived in Baton Rouge for 26 years, I still proudly say ROLL TIDE. Hope everyone enjoyed the reunion as much as we did. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 10 years!
2023
Retired from Dow in 2019. Fully retired from the chemical industry in Oct 2022.
Very successful career: traveled the world, presented over 10 papers at technical conferences, involved in the global standard for industrial flares (API-537).
3 grandkids, and another on the way.
Will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary later this year.
Enjoying traveling and our lake house in Slidell. Still working on bucket list item of visiting all 50 states (currently at 36).
