Betty Harris Malloy

Mrs. Betty Jean Harris-Malloy, of Huntsville, AL died at Huntsville Hospital, surrounded by her family on May 7, 2017. She was 59 years old.

Betty is affectionately known and loved by so many. She confessed hope in  Christ at an early age and joined Union Hill CPCA, under the leadership of Pastor McKinley Jones and Pastor Dr. Edward Anderson. She remained a faithful Christian even as her health diminished, but one thing that she loved the most was singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ as a member of the Inspirational Choir. She loved the Lord and her family more than anyone could ever express in words.

In addition to her loving the Lord and her family, she loved to cook. She would cook really large meals and invite complete strangers into her home to live and break bread. I guess that was her very own Missionary mission because regardless of what anyone would say about it she never stopped helping others in need.

She will be remembered as a pillar to her community that would help anyone, anytime.

She is preceded in death by her two sons: Corey and Latransezon Malloy; granddaughter: Papravia Malloy; and her father: Reverend David Harris, Sr.

Betty is survived by husband: Larry D. Malloy, Alexandria, VA; one son: Larry L. Malloy, Huntsville, AL; loving mother: Rosie Moore; step-father: Reverend David L. Moore; three sisters: Reverend Barbara (Charles) Strowbridge, Mattie (Michael) Elliott and Cacina (Andre) Struggs; seven brothers: James (Ann), TT (Angelia), David L.
