Blossomwood - front row, second from left

I saw David a couple of days before he was killed and visited with him briefly in a store over by Huntsville Hospital. He worked as a wine distributor in our local market and was always very upbeat and friendly when we’d run into each other in a grocery store or shop. He was a very nice guy with a good sense of humor and an independent spirit. - Dick Fountain

"I have had the privilege to call David my friend since high school.  While the beginning of our friendship was thirty years ago, it became much more personal seven years ago when I moved my family into the house next door to David and Laura.  For these past years I have benefited from David's warm personality and constant smile.  We shared lawn equipment and stories through out the summer.  It was not uncommon to be the "next door neighbor"  that would hide Christmas presents and other surprises.  I will miss David greatly.  He was a fine friend, father, husband and brother in Christ."  - Jeff Townsley
