Huntsville High Class of 1976

Debra Dyess Satterfield, 61, died Friday at her residence in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Wesley Dyess and Norma Waller Dyess of Huntsville, Alabama. She is survived by her son, Parker Satterfield and his fiancé, Madison Culbreath of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; a brother, George Wesley, II, (Pete) Dyess and wife, Silena of Huntsville, Alabama; a sister, Dauna Dyess Connell and husband, Randy of Huntsville, Alabama along with many nieces and nephews.

While growing up in the sixties on Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville, Debra was a member of Monte Sano Methodist Church and years later, a graduate of Huntsville High School. She loved to travel and kept a long list of places she had been and an even longer list of places she wanted to go. She was a devoted mother, mother-in-law and a devout Christian.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Grace United Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service following at noon. Reception to follow afterwards at 7468 Old Overton Club Drive, Liberty Park, Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
