Homer Adams 



Age 82 of Tullahoma, TN passed away January 14, 2019 at his residence. Before his retirement, Homer was employed by the Moore County Board of Education as principal of Moore County High School and had previously been the principal of Huntsville High School. He had coached many student athletes in football, basketball, and baseball at Huntland High School and Randolph School in Huntsville. Homer is survived by his children, Daphne Lynn Hudgins of Tullahoma; Sam A. (Joanne) Adams of Tabernash, Colorado; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Porter, James Hudgins, Lilly Adams, Caleb Adams, and Brittany Adams; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday, January 21, 2019 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with interment at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Mr Adams was my favorite! He always believed in the best of me possible. He also thought that I would never skip school - Lora Shuey 


I remember he was really nice to me, Jerry Sirote, Ellie Hovater and some others when Mrs. Perkins sent us to his office! We were talking too much because we'd just gotten our class rings! - Laura Lively 


If you got in trouble at HHS, you got to meet Mr Adams, and the paddle. Homer and I were on first name basis. He was a good guy..he will be missed - John King ’77

 I got sent to him a couple of times for talking and he just laughed it off. Discipline problems much different today in high school! - Laura Kilpatrick 


The only time I was sent to his office, I was selling candy bars for DOP's trip to Florida. Mr. Adams bought 2 and we sat and ate them. Loved him. - Tina Householder ‘77
