Tracey Brown Johnson, 64, of Madison, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her father Scott Brown and her mother Winnie Brown. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Steve Johnson; daughters Rachel McFerran (Shawn) and Alyssa Smith (Josh); grandchildren Jackson, Lauren, Reese, and Avery; brothers Jeff Brown (Diane), Gary Brown, and Kent Brown (Susie); aunt Jean Mathias (Tony), and a host of nieces. Tracey was a Huntsville native. She was a retired schoolteacher who touched the lives of many as she was a reading expert. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasure, and she loved being a "GiGi."She loved crafting, church, and going to the beach, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at donations@ocrahope.org.
